Law Enforcement Request Guidelines

Last updated: 8 August 2026

This page explains how Jalalle handles requests for user information from law enforcement and other government agencies. It is intended for officers and legal professionals; members of the public should use our contact page.

1. Where to send requests

Send all legal process to support@jalalle.com with “Law Enforcement Request” in the subject line. We accept service at this address and aim to acknowledge within five business days.

Jalalle is operated from the United States.

2. What we require

We disclose user information only when we receive valid legal process, or in the emergency circumstances described in section 4.

Requests from outside the United States should be made through a Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty, letter rogatory, or another recognised channel, unless the emergency provisions apply.

3. What to include

To let us identify the correct account, please provide as much as possible:

Requests that do not identify a specific account cannot be actioned. We do not perform open-ended searches of our user base.

4. Emergency requests

Where we believe in good faith that there is an imminent risk of death or serious physical harm, we may disclose information without legal process. Mark the email subject “EMERGENCY DISCLOSURE REQUEST” and describe the nature of the emergency, the person at risk, and why the information is needed to prevent harm.

5. Data preservation

We will preserve records relating to a specified account pending service of legal process, on written request, for 90 days. Preservation requests should be sent to the same address and must identify the account.

6. Notice to users

Our policy is to notify affected users of requests for their information before disclosure, so that they may seek to challenge it, unless we are prohibited from doing so by law or court order, or where we believe notice would create a risk of harm.

7. What we hold

Data we may hold includes account registration details, profile information, verification records, activity logs, reports made by or about the account, and message metadata. Retention periods are set out in our Privacy Policy. Deleted accounts are removed on the schedule described there and cannot be recovered afterwards.
